In January 2026, ITKAN cut the ribbon on a 24,000 square-foot Innovation Hub in Plano, Texas — the largest home in the network's history and a permanent base for the North Texas FIRST community. The grand opening drew Plano City Council Member Bob Kehr, FIRST in Texas Director Eric Van Gemeren, and State Representatives Mihaela Plesa and Salman Bhojani, alongside another official Texas proclamation recognizing the organization.
The Hub houses a full FRC field and three FTC fields, all open to teams across the region — not just ITKAN's own. That open-door model is the point: a place where any North Texas team can practice, scrimmage, and compete on real fields for free.
The milestone caps a remarkable run. ITKAN began in a 500 square-foot room at MAS Dallas in 2022, grew into a 6,000 square-foot warehouse in 2023, and has now tripled again. Three homes in four years — each one bigger, and each one more open to the community than the last.
