Common Questions
If your question is not answered here, the team questions address below reaches a person.
Registration runs through FIRST Texas at firsttx.org, not through ITKAN.
There is no set cap. Recent seasons have run between 19 and 30 teams, and 24 are in the league this season.
Each team pays FIRST $350 to register for the season, and FIRST Texas charges a $325 event fee. Both are paid in the FIRST Dashboard.
The three meets build a team's league ranking, and that ranking is what carries into the tournament, so attending all three matters. Ask us if your team has a conflict with one of the dates.
Your robot, batteries and chargers, tools and spare parts, drive team equipment, and your team spirit. Everyone in the pits or near a robot needs approved eye protection and closed-toe shoes. The coaches packet has the full readiness checklist.
The concession stand has snacks and drinks, with halal and vegetarian options, and takes cash, Zelle or credit. Teams may bring their own food for the pits, but please don't bring any pork products (pepperoni, ham, bacon and the like) onto the premises, out of respect for our hosts.
Yes, parking is free for teams and spectators. The Site and Parking map above shows where to park for the next meet. At the Innovation Hub, team trailers have dedicated space near the venue entrance.
Absolutely. Family, friends, and the robotics community are welcome, and admission is free. Come cheer for your favorite teams.
We plan to livestream matches with commentary. The stream link will be posted here and on ITKAN social media before each event.
