Alhamdulillah, members of our ITKAN-MASDC FTC and FLL teams had the opportunity to visit the Islamic Society of Winchester (ISW) and the Muslim Community Center of Winchester Area (MCCWA) to share their robotics journey and introduce the ITKAN model to more Muslim youth. For some of our students and families, the visit meant traveling close to 80 miles from our center, Muslim American Society DC (MASDC) in Alexandria, to Winchester, Virginia. It was great to see our kids make that trip, present their own work, talk about what they have learned through robotics, and connect with another Muslim community. Jazak Allah khair to Brother Safwan Qazzaz for arranging both visits and making the connections possible. We are also grateful to ISW and MCCWA for their warm welcome. We hope these visits encourage more Muslim youth to explore robotics, STEM, teamwork, and leadership. InshaAllah, this is the beginning of something good for youth in Winchester.
